This morning I woke up around 8:30 and got straight to work studying for my AP enviro test, which is on Tuesday. I have been convincing myself that I don’t care how I do, because I really haven’t felt like studying. We took three practice tests (just the multiple choice sections) in school and I got a 4/5 and a 5 on the first two. Then I got a 3 on the most recently released test and it scared me a bit. Even though the test doesn’t technically matter, at least not at all for my class grade, I still hope I do well. So I bought an AP achiever and tried to take notes from that as review. I read 80 pages so far today. Now I feel like I can’t do anymore. But, while trying to avoid studying I was really productive. I did my math and enviro homework, did laundry, cleaned the house, wrote in my journal, and found a super cool application. It’s called poladroid. You can upload it from this. website. Then it works like a polaroid camera, you feed it files and it gives you polaroid version of your pictures. It’s pretty neat.

Swine flu has reached my town. SHIT. I’m not actually scared of the flu, but I do think it is crazy how things spread around the world.
17 days of school left!!!!
I am done with my senior paper. For good. Over. Yes! (Poor Julia and Lisa who are still working on their senior project stuff)
I have made a promise to myself that I will draw something in my journal everyday. We’ll see if I keep it up.

I tried a frozen yogurt with pineapple, strawberries, and blueberries from forty carrots at Bloomingdale’s this afternoon. Delicious. And apparently only 100 calories? Awesome. Now I need to try pinkberry (I think that’s what its called?.
Tonight is my TV night: America’s Next Top Model and Lost! It used to include The Real World, but now that’s over .
My math problem set sucks and is hard and sucks some more.
I missed Sarah today because she was taking an AP math test. Smarty pants.
I am writing a list because I don’t have too much to say (clearly)

Prom dresses?!?!

So, I had a really hard time finding a prom dress this past weekend. Tonight I was telling my sister about how I still wasn’t too sure about the dress I picked out. So, being the good sister that she is she looked around for me and found a dress I really like (red one below). Then I found one that I think will fit me better and I think I like better as well (black one below). I told my mom and she said I should order these two online, chose between the three dresses, and return the two I don’t want in the end. I liked that idea, so I ordered them. I’m so excited to try them out!!!

1. This cute blog I found today. I love this girl. She seems so awesome. She says that when she was little she used to lie on her back in her garden, fill her belly button with water, and stay still so the bugs could swim in the “swimming pool”. Haha. She is also part of Improv Everywhere, and is a photographer and artist.

I haven’t written in a long time. This was probably about 80% because I was away, and 20% because of pure laziness.

Well, between now and the last time I wrote an entry the weather has made a drastic shift. It is gorgeous out- warm, sunny, breezy. Perfect. My dad said it is the hottest April since 1812. I tried to find evidence online to support this, but I couldn’t find anything. I did only look for a second though (so I won’t totally discredit him…at least not yet). Anyway hot weather means summer (soon) and summer means no more high school!!! I can’t wait.

When I visited my sister in Maine we worked out on her Wii Fit for 30 minutes and did crunches etc for another 30 minutes every morning. It felt good to be exercising again and something about the warm weather made it easier. Maybe the fact that i know I will be in a bathing suit soon? Or just the fact that I am a happier person when it’s sunny out? Either way it feels good and I’ve kept it up since I got back by walking my two dogs, doing aerobics, and weights.

I looked up my name on urban dictionary because I was bored this afternoon. This is what I found:

Also known as Sader,Tader, Saden, Sades, Glots, The Glotster, or just plain old SADE.
No one can get enough of someone with the name Sadye.
Can also be used as a verb. Meaning to love horses and also to make a fool of oneself while inebriated: Lesley pulled a sadye the other day and ditched us for her horse. He pulled a Sadye and fell down a flight of stairs.
It also apparently means a lot of really graphic sexual things…hmmm. Definitely not me.

I think the easiest way to describe the past few days without taking up a lot of space is to use bullet points. I had a lot of fun in Maine with my sister and niece, and I’m sad to leave tomorrow night. I’m really excited to see my friends though! Unfortunately when I get back I have a lot to do. I made a big list on my listography.

Now for the bullet points:

Had a Real Housewives of New York City marathon
Finished the book A Hope in the Unseen
Made lemon cupcakes
Ate a lot of food
Went to the Maine Mall
Went to the Christmas Tree Shop
Drove my sister’s car to pick up take out for us and walked three blocks in the pouring rain to the restaurant (and loved it)
Did spring cleaning

Went to a five year old’s birthday party

I just got an e-mail from a friend asking me and others to sign a petition to save the polar bears and put them on the endangered species list. So, now I’m asking you guys to sign it.

This week I am on April vacation and I’m staying with my sister in Maine until Wednesday. I’ll try to add stuff to the blog, but I have a feeling I won’t. All I will say is that I have a pretty crazy family, and that I love them.

A rift in the National Association of Real-bearded Santas

Today I wasn’t in school because I had a field trip with my social justice class. We all met up at the town hall for a leadership training. I had a great time, and from the opinions of the people I talked to afterward the rest of the group did too. We learned a lot of techniques and models for leadership and taking initiative in a team. It was nice because the training involved a lot of activities. We did some classic team building games and some other activities more focused on facilitation and team work.

After the training I decided to do something about the massive pile of clothes on my bedroom floor. I’m a pretty tidy person, but I let it gather for too long. The funny thing is that they were all clean. The only problem was that I kept doing loads of laundry, but instead of putting them away I just dumped them on the floor in front of my dresser. I ate a passion fruit sorbet while I cleaned and it was delicious (I talk about food a lot…). I also listened to an episode of This American Life, which is an absolutely amazing radio show produced in Chicago that plays on NPR. I am actually going to TAL Live on the 23rd- they are basically recording an episode and streaming it live to movie theaters across the country. I got my ticket at the beginning of March and it was almost sold out. The show was in two months… Wow. I’m excited (it’s pretty much the only thing I have planned for this coming vacation other than visiting my sister).
